Hi again.
I am just after comparing mpg with other owners (maybe with the same engine). I get about 90-95 on £10 worth of unleaded. Works out as about 32-34mpg. Is this normal? Just doesn't seem much.
Cheers for any replys.
Chris
(ps, It is a little late and I appologise for my c**p spelling. Bye)

I find that the 1.7 carb 440 my sister-in-law drives takes more uleaded than my 940 turbo.

Hi.
Firstly,
"guess you will have to get rid of all that lead in your shoes" - Cheeky! You turbo boys can get better mpg for 2 reasons:
1)Driving in vacume maximises mpg. In my GT Punto, I got 35 - 42mpg when driving 'nicely'.
2)Carbs are about as efficient as chocolate tea-pots! :)
Anyhow, I do appreciate the feedback. I think I just need to get used to driving it (and perhaps remove a little lead from my shoes...)
Thanks again
Chris

Just refilled today and calculated the fuel consumption at 36.4 mpg over 300 miles of mixed town and motorway driving.
The car is a 440 manual with a B18U engine and 88,000 miles.
