Door lock question

Hi,
I seem to remember on my 1995 460 series that the door locks would automatically lock if the car was left unattended for 10 or more minutes with the windows closed. Can any one verify if this is correct or is it just a figment of my imagination?

My '96 440, and now my V40, both lock themselves when the car is unlocked, but the doors are not opened. Never left it unlocked with the windows shut for that long before with the engine off so I'm not sure about that.
