Hi all!! I'm new to this site, just bought a 440xi a few weeks ago, k reg only 71k on the clock and i love it!
BUT!!! the missus decided to clean it cos she was bored(!) and let go of the wiper arm, knocked the blade off and the arm hit the windscreen. Result? a 12 inch crack on passenger side.
We have our kids in the car a lot so im naturally worried. Can anyone advise me how much a replacement will be. I'm only insured TPFT so cant do it on insurance.
Really appreciate any help !!

Many thanks

Phil

Hi Phill
not sure off hand what a new screen would cost but just a thought, it might be cheaper to go fully comp to get a new screen i know the price differance beetween tpft and fully comp was £40 for me I am 31 with 3 years no claims.

Wow, for once a female breaking cars whilst working on them. Seriously, I'd advise you to ring around. I had the windscreen done on my 740 a few years back and I had a local guy come to my house to fix it for 130 pounds but the worst qoute was for nearly 300 and then I had to bring the car there.

Or if you're really looking after the pennies, just get one from the local scrappies for £30.
