Lost Key

someone recently lost the only key for the maintenance van.
Phoned one of the local garages, was quoted £880 plus vat.
The Biggest cost was transporting the car on the ferry to the dealers.
However found these guys on line.

I had the key niumber and he sent me one to try, had to rip the aftermarket alarm out, but the key was fine.

He then sent me a device to disable the immobiliser, van is now working fine again albeit without an alarm or immobiliser, but living here you dont need them, total cost for three keys and the gizmo £113 plus vat.

There is a great little bloke in Glasgow called The Car Key Centre, he charged 120 quid to cut coded keys for both my old Laguna and wifes old Marea both cars were locked at the time and he had no key numbers for either, whole process took about half an hour including recoding the chips.
He also keeps the key data for future and will send out a key for 20 quid if you lose them again.
