Hi All,
My car has developed an annoying clunk when going over general road surfaces, I'm sure it's coming from the NSR corner. My garage man has her the car up on a ramp and reckons it's the spring that keeps the disc pads kissing the disc that's gone. If so, great! but it sounds far too "heavy" a clonk for that. All the suspension bushes etc. look fine even while being prised around by the mechanics crowbar. Anyone any idea?
Thanks,
Nick.

Hi I don't think it can be anything to do with the discs as you would notice extremely wierd braking.

Does it happen when you turn ? if so check the CV joint they're not hard to do and you can do it yourself in around a day

It could be the strutt or the strutt spring.

It could also be somewhere in the suspension even though the bushes appear ok. Check to see if any connections are lose

as it's the NSR it can't be the strut or the CV Joint (rears don't have them.)

It could be the bushes also it could be the exhaust thumping loose.
