Hi there, I'm new to the forum.

I used to have a T4. Great car, never let me down, comfy, practical and not too bad economy on the longer runs ;)

I sold it for too little so I could live in New Zealand. Lack of work brought me back and I thought I'd try a '98 Saab 9-5. I liked the look, and a friend had one and I found the cabin interesting. Unfortunatley after just over 4 months of ownership the engine siezed on me, no oil and no warning light either and I've scrapped over £2k :angry2:

So I've bought another V40, a 2.0T SE '01 and hope it will be as reliable as my last one. I got a great deal too so that's softened the blow a bit. Bought unseen, but it sounds good from what the dealer says, get it tomorrow :Banane32:

The forum has already proved useful in finding an independent specialist in Milton Keynes (last one had no history so a mate serviced it for me). Thought I'd say hi to you all, I'm not as passionate about my car as I am about my motorbike so I won't be the busiest poster!

Thanks for the welcome.

I got the car yesterday. A few niggles with it that; one small dink that wasn't described, missing fog lamp, missing load cover, faulty bonnet catch, one broken headlamp wipe. BUT the same year at the dealers was more than double what I paid so I don't mind spending a bit to smarten things up. I'll be onto the local Volvo specialist tomorrow.

And its got that lovely leather smell my old V40 had, hhhhhmmmmmm, I've had other cars with leather and they don't smell the same :bananapowerslide:

Scandinavian leather. You cant beat it! No barbed wire and very few insects.
Welcome back! Nice motor by the way!
