S40 ABS CONTROL Module – PART NUMBER?
Hi all, I’ve had the ‘Anti-skid system required’ message up for a couple of weeks now. I took the car to my local Volvo independent garage and was given fault code BCM 0130. I have been told that the ABS control module needs fixed or replacing.
My options so far are the following.
1. Main dealer will sell me a reconditioned unit for £495 plus fitting.
2. Local indy will supply reconditioned unit and fitting for £495.
3. Another local indy will remove, mail the pump for overhaul and refit for £400
4. My local garage will remove/refit for £60 but I will have to get the pump sorted myself. I’ve phoned for overhaul quotes but I can’t get any prices unless I have the model number. Does anyone know how to get the model number? Are they all different? I’ve asked Volvo but they won’t give out part numbers.
If I can get the part number I’ll be able to get a gaurentee it can be reconditioned and achieve the best price
