Volvo V50 1.6d engine noise

Hi Volvo funs!

I have a Volvo V50 1.6d, year: 2008.
To hear a knocking sound from the engine(tak-tak-tak-tak-tak-tak). This sound normal?

Sounds normal to me. Well it sounds exactly like mine :D

It sounds like typically diesel :) If you r not sure,go to official dealer.

I have the 2.0td and had this problem! Try taking your belt off for the alternator and see if its any better.

My alt shaft was bent :O .... Picked up a recon one for £50 and that sorted it :)
