XC60 Tail Gate Problem

My xc60 tail gate has stopped working. It clicks to open but does not raise. I have to force it open & force it to close where it will lock.
It's the hydraulic type 2010 model.

Mine would open, making a grinding noise, close and then open again, struts needed replacing £650.00
