Came across this recently

Does the c30 already have a RARB? If so how much thicker is this?

I had a RARB on my old Fabia and made quite a difference but it didn't have one as standard.

Cheers

It does have one yes, but the IPD ones makes quite a bit of difference

I have the IPD RARB on my S40, it transformed the car, not all about hooning through corners but the overall stability and comfort. The standard ARB allows the car to 'rock' from side to side but with the IPD it really hunkers down.

Basically it feels a lot more sure-footed at both ends. I had a Volvo strut brace fitted at the same time too.

The whiteline one is a lot cheaper than that and does the same job.

+1 on what Welton said, this is an upgrade that really makes a difference.

The stock bar is 18mm in diameter, the IPD one is 22mm
Any thicker than that would be an overkill .. the rear becomes too rigid for comfort, so which ever brand you choose, my advice is to stick to a max. diameter of 22mm.

I also stock these IPD bars : http://kalmar-union.com/parts/volvo-s40v50c30c70-suspension/

They are of a very high quality indeed, however you can buy alternatives as those made for the previous Focus ST will also fit all the now discontinued smaller Volvos although the end/ drop links are different.

Attached are pictures of the complete IPD bar kit fitted to my own Focus ST.

You should note that the flats on either end of the bar for a Volvo are at a 90 degree variance to those on an ST.

So, if you do buy the Whitline or any other for that matter made for fitting to a Focus you would have to buy the different Ford end links to fit it to a Volvo......most likely negating the cost of the cheaper bar.
