Hi guys, I have recently purchased a 2006 volvo v50 and after driving the car home about 50 miles or so it felt like I had a very slight flat spot ok nothing major.i got home parked the car up and the next morning started it up eventually as it took a while and there it was a massive white cloud I have had it in at surestart diesel specialist in doncaster whom charged me £140 and could not diagnose the problem. A friend came and got me a error code up and says its po149 which apparently injection timing error,my pump runs off the end of camshaft I am led to believe any help,advice or offers to come and repair my car are welcome.sorry it's a 2006 v50 2.0 diesel

Sounds like a sticky flap in the throttle body, I would give that a good clean and don't over tighten the connector at the intake to prevent warping as only plastic! Did your friend clear the codes as could be an old one?
