C30 Turbo problems?

Hi,

so a few times I've been driving and the powers just gone... a couple of times out of the few there has been a light on the dash pop-up saying 'reduced engine performance' i turned the car off then back on and the power was back.

However my mate was saying the turbo sounds off. Like it'll start to whistle when i bring my clutch up in first etc. Then also when getting to 4k revs the turbo makes a rattling noise.

Not sure if anyone has had any problems like this or for someone to say "oh yeah that's... ...whatever problem"

I have a C30 1.6 D2 R Design.

One of my old C30's had this, and that was a 1.6 petrol (so no turbo).
Mine was the Throttle Position Sensor. Search the forum, and also C30 Crew website, there is quite a bit online about it. No sure about the turbo rattle, but REDUCED ENGINE PERFORMANCE is quite common.
