Any recommendations for a smart phone holder, to hold my xperia z2 to use as sat nav, or save any ugly accessories clipped to the vent or sucked to the screen, any preference on sat nav. For my 2010 v70.

I think you can get some that fit in the cup holder.

No idea whether they are any good or not but at least the cup holder is designed to take an object of that weight, unlike those that hang from air vents designed to carry no weight at all.

I really rate the Brodit pro-clip range. Not cheap but very, very good and if you change your phone you just change the mount not the entire thing.

This is the best one and the only mount I have trusted to leave attached without fear of it dropping and setting off the alarm when the car is parked up.

It will never fall off and looks pretty neat. Bit more expensive then the standard ones but will just stick to your windscreen like super glue and they even warn you about how strong the grip is. Its even possible then when pulling this off you may take windscreen with you but that could just be a wild rumour....

I have one of these. It's cheap and does the job. An unobtrusive 1" magnetic disc and, on the model I bought from a different source, two different thickness' metal contact (thicker for heavier items like sat nav) to stick on the back of the phone. I have mine on the left hand side of the flat face at the bottom edge of the instrument cluster surround on P2 V70. I can see it through the steering wheel. No screen suction sticker to attract light fingered scrotes.

Pete, Halfords have a great Garmin Nuvi M65 on offer at the minute. Its got a brilliant 6" screen, maps for life for £75.

I'm a Brodit user too... :)

We've got this in my wife's XC90' similar to the Tetrax, it's very discreet:

Brodit mounts are great too, but we just wanted something secure and discreet as opposed to a large mount on display.

I was a user/fan of Brodit but given between my wife and I we now have 5 phones and the Brodit system means we need a custom holder for each phone it's a PITA having to carry a screwdriver and all the different phone fitments depending on who's driving, what phone we are navigating with or music-ing through.

Thanks for the link blackrevolver, looks like the answer to our problem.
