This thread may help you decide, http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=180414 Apart from putting one on as an addition to an overall tune up, i think standard air boxes and filters are designed to give the best performance for whatever engine. No doubt someone will come along and shoot me down and disagree but i'm sure fitting one won't transform your car into a rocket!!

They make a nice noise, but there is a theory that oil impregnated filters run the risk of contaminating your MAF with oil droplets. They claim higher flow rates , but the standard filter has more than enough flow capacity, as long as it is changed regularly. I fancy the intake noise, but I dont fancy knackering the MAF.

Best keep you cash and just use plenty of standard paper elements.

I have seen for myself the erosion of internal turbo moving parts associated with the amount of very fine particles not trapped by oiled filters.
