Noise when engaging alarm

Every time I lock my V50 I get this noise. The clip isn't my car but the noise is exactly the same. Anyone know why this noise is being made? Should point out that its around 27 seconds into the clip.

Is that not the dead locks engaging?

Its the deadlock engaging but it makes that duck noise as the plastic cog is failing. It's a common fault and if left can leave the door permanently deadlocked so will need replacing sooner rather than later. Plenty of info on this forum about it if you search.
