AntiSkid Service AND Low Transmission Performance

This morning, on start up, the 'Anti-Skid Service Required' message came up along with another message 'Low Transmission Performance'. I drove to the local supermarket but didn't really notice any difference in performance. When I came out of the supermarket and started the engine, all messages have now gone. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is the Anti-Skid and Low Transmission Performance linked in any way?
