Some kind fellow managed to smack my drivers side mirror so hard that the glass completely shattered. I managed to salvage the insides, reassembled it, and all motors work fine. I now need to sort the glass out. I assume it's heated, as there are 2 wires left dangling.
All the cheap glass replacements seems to stick over the existing broken glass, like this (http://www.cardoormirrors.com/Volvo/S40/2004-to-2010-Car-Door-Mirror.html). This will be no good, with nothing to stick it to! Also it won't be heated.
This (http://www.volvopartshop.com/door-mirror-glass-s40v50-04-3888-p.asp), at about £50-60 seems to be the glass I need. It's not cheap though, and I can't find any mention of it being heated.
This (http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/product_info.php?products_id=6051) claims to be a direct replacement, and is a lot cheaper. Would this be heated too?
I may have to swallow the expense and drive down to the dealer, but if I could save a few quid I'd be more than happy!
