C30 corroded diamond cut alloys

I have a six year old C30 R Design with 18" Alloys that have corroded very badly. I bought the car from a Volvo dealer at 8,000 miles. It has now done just over 50K and has full Volvo service history. I recently took it back to the Volvo dealer I purchased it from because of the wheel corrosion They photographed it and submitted an anti corrosion warranty claim to Volvo. The offside rear tyre keeps going down because it is leaking around the valve due to the corrosion. My question is, do I have any chance of getting anywhere with a warranty claim with Volvo, or do I have to pay and get the wheels refurbed myself.

You don't ask you don't get. Worth a try if nothing else.

Chances are they will say it is not covered and you'll be needing the refurb.

Mine have also started to bubble and mark in places... had it from new. I think there was a 'known' issue a while ago but I think the time has gone for any free repairs....be interested to see how you get on
