Remove / Blank off roof rack rails?

Going to be a challenge to do well. New, you could order from the factory with no rails. With rails, you'll have dirty great bolt holes in the roof if you remove them.

Can't you buy caps for the holes? If not I may try and make some caps

You can but a replacement trim strip for each side that runs the full length of the roof to replace the existing one but they aren't designed to cover up where rails were previously. I guess as long as you sealed the bolt hols sufficiently it would work.

They need painted to the same colour as your car.
