Rearview mirror

Another annoying post..... sorry :P

Since ive had the car my rear view mirror auto dim does not work, has the sensor on the rear and the led look part on the front. Any common problems with this?
And should I have a compass? Just got the rear windows tinted so not that bothered about the auto dim but the compass sounds like a good gadget

If you was supposed to have a compass you'd be able to see where it displays. When mines off you can clearly see the compass display.

No pre-2007 cars has a rear view mirror with compass as standard. They were an optional extra that I'd bet nobody ever paid for. You can retrofit one but they aren't cheap at nearly £200 IIRC. You need a pre-2007 one as the later ones have a different mount and connector.

Would be a funky gadget to have but a little pricey
