V50 interior questions

Hi All,

The R design sets in my V50 are looking a bit tired and I'm thinking of swapping them out for newer ones. I have a couple of question though.

I have the black/white R design leather seats atm, do the R design seats come in just black?

If I managed to find an electric adjust set would they need any work doing to make them operate?

Would seats from a newer model fit, say a V70 or XC60? (Fronts only obviously)

I'm in exactly the same position and although I can't offer any help, I'll be watching this thread with interest...:thumbs_up:

I previously fitted leather heated seats to my Mondeo and the loom was under the carpet, just connected it then added an ebay sourced switch and relay and it all worked perfect.
I understand however it's not that simple with Volvo.

The answer is yes to both the questions, no to the third.

Yes, you can get R-Design seats in all black leather.

Yes, you can retro fit electric seats too.

No seats from other models will not fit (C30, S40 & V50 ones will (front)).

Breakers, dismantlers and eBay would be worth checking out. Perhaps post up a wanted post too on here as there will always be someone who has either had a smashing time or breaking one for parts.
