Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about purchasing a V50 with Sport package, because it looks so nice. Do you have any experience with the lowered sport chassis? I have little doubts it would be very firm drive. What about drive on the snow with it?

Thank you for all your answers.

Mine is the T5 so may be slightly firmer but the chassis is great I only find the ride can be a bit firm when going over harsh roads but it is still ok, the handling is great, I had 17" wheels on my previous 2.0D S40 and it was a lot softer over rough roads, but I would take the Sport Pack everytime.

I have the V50 2.0D Sport, and it is a very nice car. Not had any snow here to see what its like, but it does handle very well, so well you forget you're driving an estate!

The only gripe is the wheels are quite big, and you have to be very careful when near to kerbs as the low profile tyres means more of the wheel gets scuffed when near the kerb (only done it the once I hasten to add!!)

Thanks,
Paul

Baresi, I'm not sure what it's like where you are but, strangely, the Sport model in the UK doesn't give you the lowered chassis - you get to pay Volvo more money for that.

Wouldn't change back, though - when I get a courtesy car from the dealer now they don't feel anywhere near as well planted as mine does.

Pretty subtle difference visually as its only a small drop. Looks like THIS (http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=2804&cat=3081) beforehand and like THIS (http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=3513&cat=500&ppuser=512) afterwards.

Next stop - Koni FSDs...
