Hello People, I have just wired up my cigarette lighter, and my dash
is out so I can see what Im doing. I wired up the light bulb to a
light source so when I turn the car lights on it comes on, I also
then wired the earth to the earth on the back of the fuel dial.I
then found a gairly thick wire from the ignition and wired up the
live to the live on the lighter, I turned on the ignition and the
live wire on the lighter started smoking and melting, so I panicked
and pulled it apart. does anyone know what i have done wrong,
