2006 model S40 SE 2.0D

hi how reliable are the new S40 2.0 diesel SE models?
what are the common issues/problems?


i have 17,000 kilometers on it since new in Feb 06..

what is the depreciation like?

i hear they loose a good bit..in value and depreciate like hell is this right?

if i decide to hold on to it for a few years, what problems might occur?

I wouldn't expect them to depreciate any faster than average. I think I read somewhere that the earlier S40 model depreciated like a stone after the new one went on sale, but that's perhaps not surprising.

As for reliability, I don't know. I've only had mine for a few months.
