S40 T5 Suction Noise

New T5 owner. 2004 model. 40000 km. After first long drive car has developed serious suction in the cam cover. Loud whistling noise which stops when oil cap removed. Also eco light is on. Slighly low on power. Please advise any similar experiences. Gary

Ok I guess eco light is better referred to as lambda light. And yes the whistling sound is air being drawn into the cam cover.

I experience the same problem @ 65 000km. It was repaired under service plan (6 weeks) but nobody could actually explain to me what went wrong.

Just out of service plan - 120 000km and same problem. The repair quote is astronomical (+- ₤2500). Can anyone give me more detail on what needs to be done to justify such a quote or is it a rip-off.
