Lighting Board

I've just purchased a rear mounted bike rack and lighting board for my 2006 V50. Can anyone tell me what do I need to buy to connect the lighting board to the vehicle lights and is it an easy job to do?

YOu'll need teh volvo plug in wiring loom - it just clips into the rear light plug. You can't do it any other way becuase of the way the lights are wired (CANBUS I think) and there's a risk of messing it up big style if you try and splice in....

Spoke to my dealer (eventually). He tells me the only thing I can do is have a towbar and electrics fitting. I can't believe this is the only way forward. How much does the plug in loom cost together with the required (apparantly) software upgrade. His other concern was that I would need to drill a hole to the outside of the car to plug it into the lighting board. Personally I'd be quite happy having the cable out of the rear window, for the amount of times I'll need it on.
