Does anyone know how well the 5 speed geartronic gearbox copes with the increase in power when the ECU is re-mapped on a 163bhp diesel?

With one company quoting a power increase from 163bhp to 204 and the torque rising from 340Nm to 435 for the standard "pack" or 210bhp / 475Nm for the performance "pack" the gearbox and transmission are obviously having to cope with a lot more power.

When Volvo changed to the current 185bhp Euro 4 diesel, I believe the gearbox was changed to the six speed version. Was this to cope with the extra power, or just to offer better performance / economy?

Will the 5 speed geartronic box last OK, or is it likely to give problems in the not to distant future? Likewise the rest of the transmission train?

I hope someone knows all the answers!
