My 1966 122s fabric and rubber door seals that fit on the door frame - NOT the door - are in tatters. I have new ones but am struggling to see how to fit them.
The seal I am talking about is the one that starts at the bottom of the front door opening, goes up to the roof lining then right along the roof lining and then down the back door opening. Has anyone fitted these and how did you do it.

Apparently there is a drawing available for this and was submitted by "Bladerider". However when I try to open it - it won! Are you still around Bladerider?

It's about 3 years ago that I fitted ours, and my memory's not what it used to be, but, as far as I remember, the B pillar panel and A pillar and footwell board secure the front and back, and to fit above the door you squeeze the plastic parts together and push them up between the headlining and the body, and when they spring apart, that's what holds it in place. Regards, Andy.

I think I watched Rob Whitton fitting this seal to a car at Sywell. He was using a wide screwdriver and a great deal of patience. Took a while but the job was completed successfully. Perhaps he would care to comment?

Beware the corners, don't stretch the seal around them or they will pull out sooner rather than later.
