Hi!

Does anyone know if it's possible to make software upgrade at the dealer, so that the headlight bulb malfunction warning lamp on the BC doesn't light up, when using HID kit xenon lights.

Or even better is it possible to upgrade SW so that the car thinks that it has original volvo Xenon lights and puts out 35W, instead od 55W for regular H7 bulbs?

bye

Hi,

Can't find it now but there is a fix for Volvos when HID's have been installed.
I think it has been discussed on the forums so a search should turn up something...
Something to do with the fact that HID draw much less current.

EDIT:
Try these:

Thanks CTCNetwork, things are getting clearer:Banane32: . I read in one of these links that on 2005-> models the coputer cuts off power to the HID, so they dont work, is that the case also with 2004 V50 MY2005?

bye!

Hi,

Not sure, I must admit.

I do hear that you will want to turn off the DRL as the HIDs don't work at the reduced voltage that DRL's use.
So thats 2 fixes required, possibly, to get them runing Ok..
