I am looking for a steering boss for my 1965 Volvo Amazon.
I need it with a 100mm pcd for a Mountney Wheel.
I know Moto Lita make them but they are expensive at £80+
Mountney dont make a boss for the Amazon either an ideas ?

Brookhouse sell a version:

Got the Moto Lita fitted myself (think it was part number FH14). As you say, they are expensive but I think they're worth it.

Thanks but the Brookhouse one does not take the wheel i want..
So far i have only found the Moto Lita.... £80 is too expensive for a boss..

Check EBay. Bosses come up from time to time.

Thanks its a really good price to, i have seen it but it will not fit the wheel i want which has a 100mm pcd. I cant find a wheel i really like that fits the smaller pcd.. its annoying..

Have you considered acquiring a boss which could be milled or drilled with an indexing head to your required 100mm PCD?
Alternately, a boss with the required PCD and fit a correct tapered spline machined from an old steering wheel? The insert could be pinned in two or three places and epoxied to make secure.
If you can't buy what you want, make it or have it made.

Yes been thinking the very same thing... i have a few friends with lathes so i might just try and find an old standard wheel and as long as the splines are still ok i can cut the middle out and fit to a Mountney boss i already have from a Fiesta..
on principle I don't feel like paying Moto Lita over £80 for boss others sell for around £30...
