I finally got around fitting spacers on my Elevate 25.4mm rear anti-roll bar.

When I initially purchased it last year, I noticed that the diameter of the bolt holes on the bar were too big (12.7mm) for the OEM drop link thread size (10mm diameter). This meant the anti-roll effect was being cancelled out upon initial turn in, which was obviously disappointing.

The solution over on sweedespeed was to fit some spacers that had an outter diameter of 12.7mm, and an internal diameter of a 9.8mm (which the OP admitted was a very tight fit).

However, another alternative is to just buy some M10 x 15mm (OD) spacers (https://www.gwr-fasteners.co.uk/m10-x-15mm-od-spacers---standoff-collar---stainless-steel-38789-p.asp) and use a 15mm drill bit to bore out the anti-roll bar bolt holes slightly.

I would recommend being very precise when drilling as to not overly widen the holes.

I also needed to trim the length of the spacer with a dremel cutting disc, but end result is the spacers are now fitted, and the roll bar engages immediately and you can really push it in the corners. Its worth noting that my car is at 150,000 miles now and the rear suspension bushes no doubt could do with replacement but the bar still makes a huge difference to cornering speed. Can feel the car really gripping tight around roundabouts etc.

Excellent info there!

Just about the only thing I haven't replaced on my suspension is the rear trailing arm bushes - I'm sure mine are flexing way more than they should - would they be a big job to replace? I've seen the bushings listed for sale (separately from the arms) but it's deffo something I want to get done.
