Engine system service

I have a v70 T5 2005. Serviced and MOT last week and then the engine system service message appeared 2 days later. Took it back in and had all codes cleared down .
Yesterday it came back on. It's running absolutely fine. What's going on?
Any tips would help.

what other codes were showing? clearing code wont remove what caused them. codes are there to point you in the right direction of what to fix

"Engine System Service Required" means there is a fault.

Not to be confused with a routine service reminder.

It's volvo's version of the 'check engine' light. Your garage should have plugged their diagnostic computer in, and looked at what fault code was being stored and given you some advice based on that.

Simply resetting the error without telling you what it was isn't very helpful. Hopefully they didnt charge you for that.
