Who Made this engine?

Were the lumps fitted into diesel volvos (im thinking the latter T4 engines) actually renault engines, if so are the engines listed in the renault haynes manuals?

The diesels were sourced from Renault and were available in two levels of power 105 bhp (?) and 115 bhp.
