Hi all, just bought a 440 2.0 Glt.
The car came with one key and no central locking although it has everything in place.
I currently have no rev counter and no info centre, the radio, clock and interior light do not work unless the ignition is on, also dash lights out.
The fuses are all good except the bulb out warning light is on one minute then its fuse blows, its also reverse light fuse so pretty useful to have working properly.
It seems as though some fool has hard wired everything into the ignition live not the battery live, could this be to do with the lack of central locking?
Im really lost as how to even start looking for the problem.

Sounds like fun, sorry cant offer any help, the 440 i had needed the key fob to start, you had to press unlock everytime to start it, maybe someone by-pass that to get it to start? Sounds like a real butcher job, so shouldnt be too hard to find when the butcher went in, try and put the wiring back to standard, then see what doesnt work, thats what i usually do anyway, usually a simple reason why some idiot went to alot of bother
