96 440 colours

Can anybody help with the following?
My registration document describes the colour of my 440 as 'Silver', but I cannot find a supplier of the correct colour.
I have tried Halfords, the nearest Volvo dealer and a couple of companies on ebay who never answer my emails. Probably due to the low value of the product!
My local car accessory shop tried to help but the metallic colour was too light.
Any clues please?

On the VIN plate you can find the colour code. If you have the code the dealer can order the right colour for you.

I believe for the 440's there are 2 different silvers. One is kind of titanium silver as it has a goldish/yellowish tint to it(sorry cannot remember the name).
My last car was this and the colour was not available over the counter at my local halfords and had to be mixed. I think there is a flatter silver but if you have tried and found that too light then its probably the other one
