480 turbo info centre

Hi everyone & Help!! driving along, info centre display dissapeared, lights selected, info centre restored, lights off headlights remain up, info off.front side lights on dim only, headlights only work when flash selected. Would appreciate any suggestions. I've owned this J reg. 480 turbo for 9 years & had most of the usual problems over the years but this combination is new to me.:

Check the earth connection behind the dash, could be corroded. It's located behind the CEM. Could be leaking at that location because of blocked rainwater drain. There are two drains, when you open the bonnet you can find them in the corners under the frontwindow on the right side of the oval shaped relay box the other one on the other side next to the airinlet.

Pretty sure the pop-ups earth through the day-run lamps. Check these too. Make sure the connections are all clean & that the bulbs are correct. IIRC they should be 21/4w. Many put in 'standard' 21/5w & these can course all sorts of strange symptoms within the various leccy circuits.
