Hi there, I've just been given my first car- a volvo 440 si m reg 95k - She is in seemingly great shape and the guy who gave her to me said she has never let him down so far - starts first time etc.... Anyway i am clueless about cars and just wondered if anyone could give me any advice as to what the best oil/break fluid etc etc is to buy for it and also if a ready mixed anti freeze would be okay to use in the coolant? (which i checked and just topped up with and have realised i should have checked first and am now panicking that i may have used wrong stuff! lol) ... i'd really appreciate some advice- i want to look after her - i can't afford to repair her, so want to learn how to do bits myself..

I really recommend you to buy a Haynes manual used off Ebay, its a couple of quid, and well worth the money :)
Other than that, do ask questions here and over at volvo-forums.com, there's a couple of us that use these cars as daily beaters still, and have learned a thing or two about 'em.
I bought 10W-40 semisynthethic oil for mine.. The cheapest acceptable oil : p
