what needles to use?

hi there i am working on putting back together my 65 1800 and have 73 1800 es as my donor car .was wanting to know if any of you guys reckon i should change needles in my twin su carburettors as i will be using engine from the es (didnt fancy messing with injection system).would the distributor from es cause any problems for me should i use the one from the b18 engine .
any help would be grateful.

Hi Andy,

There are specific needles for this set up, but I don't recall what they are off the top of my head. Give Burlen Fuel Systems a ring, or Simon at Brookhouse Volvo.
I'd go with the early distributor. Less to go wrong without the vacuum advance.
