i know its not the normal thing to do putting a used cat on but finances dictate so has any of you got one for a 1996 v40 1948 cc non turbo that is on a scrapper or is collecting dust in your spares stock .New old stock or used i am not bothered

A used cat that has being lying up a while wont last long, it would have being lying up take in moisture and become brittle.

i thought i needed a manifold but it turns out mines a cat that i need as i have a crack were the 2 pipes meet gonna try and get it welded up on monday,

as a little thought for you, is your cat deff knackered, if it is you could try hollowing it out and putting it in for a emissions test to see if it would pass some cars will, i had a v6 wich had 3 cats on it 2 pre cats and the main, when i fitted a turbo i had all of them removed and it still went through the emissions with no problems just make sure the cars nice and hot.
