440 petrol starting problem

for the last 4 days ive been having a starting problem with my 440, on 3 occations it turns over but doesnt catch,tried a couple of times, the after a couple of mins i try again and it starts fine????!!!!! she drives ok so any idea's please!!

Reckon you've got to go for the 'basics' here to start with at least.

Spark plugs? Clean em' (re-knew if needed). Dizzy Cap & rotor? Check the condition, clean (re-place if needed). HT leads? are they 'arcing'. Start the car in the dark & look for 'sparks', if you see any then replace them.
