Hi, The bumpers on my 1972 1800es should be re chromed but, being retired, the cost would be exorbitant for me and I was wondering if anyone had tried any of the propriety spray on chrome products available, such as dupli-color, symoniz or others. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks,

There is a platers in Currock Carlisle on the little trading estate off the bog road. Entrance is opposite Reid furniture and Johnstones paints.

I know a friend of mine had some parts for his boat replated there and said it was reasonable and much cheaper than a chandler would have been.

Worth a try.
