`Lolita`failed on a few things for the M.o.T.
Washer bottle, I sourced one from:
www.classic-car-accessories.co.uk
for only£16.50, obviously not OEM, however about a quarter of the price.
Also wheelarch repairs on both rears, panels from Brookhouse, who were very fast with delivery etc, go to whoa in four days!
Lolita goes for welding on Wednesday.

I presume this was not just some bubbling rust on the outer wheel arches, which it would be difficult to fail.

These days it seems they can get you with anything that is 30 cm from any structural point (presumably rear seatbelts as well if fitted).

I have had many occasions where the little tool they use seems to hit good metal and then....goes through (damn it!).

I find that council MOT centres are more forgiving because they do not normally carry out repairs and have nothing to gain.

Good luck with the repairs.

It was looking pretty rough from an earlier repair so needs to be done anyway.
