New to site and need some help. I have a 53 Plate S80 and I am currently having a problem with it. When I hit the accelerator hard I lose power and the car goes into limp mode. I can build the speed up gradually using cruise control but when I go back to the accelerator I lose power again. The car drives perfectly well when I get the cruise on at all speeds. I have no smoke coming from the exhaust and the car seems to run well. I have been told that it could be the diesel pump which could cost me £500. Has any one else had this problem?
