Open 1981 sunroof

I have a 1981 volvo, my issue is i cant get the sunroof to open to see how to fix inside or for that matter whats exactly wrong, wondering if anyone could help me out ?

Don't know if Volvo's are the same? but on my old BMW they was a facility for a Allen key to be slotted into the sunroof motor thus enabling you to open/close it by hand
