V40 2.0T help needed

Hi
I have a P0102 fault which translates to Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit low Input.

Can anyone please translate this?

I am OK on Lucas Distributors advance and retard also SU carbs but these plastic covered computer controlled engines I do not have a clue.

Any help gladly received

Sounds like a mass air flow meter fault - it's the plugged in thing that's part of the air intake pipe just after the airbox. When you have it off you find it's pretty much a pipe with a wired string across it. The wire is heated with resistance change measured as air rushes past cooling it. May just be that the wire needs cleaning which can be done by spraying some carb cleaner on it - don't touch it though as that could actually bugger it properly
