Tappets

I have a slight tappet noise, it was the EFi engine but has been converted back to carbs, but I assume that the tappets are adjustable? and does anyone know the tollerences that they need to be set by?

According to Haynes, for the B20E inlet and exhaust hot and cold is .040 to .045mm
