I know this has been covered before but im unsure what ones to buy, there seem to be so many

Are these expensive ? (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bosch-AeroTwin-Flat-wiper-blades-VOLVO-850_W0QQitemZ350195888183QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Car sParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item51894d3037&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14)

Can anyone recommend any for me preferably with a link as to where i can purchase them
Cheers
Andy

If you definitely want Bosch ones, like I have, then these are CHEAP! I paid about £23/24 for mine, and that was the cheapest I found (at the time).

I bought a cheap set off eBay for the 945 I had for a wee while, I think they were about £10/12, they did the job.....but can't comment on how long they would have lasted.

If it was me....I'd buy the Bosch ones at that price

I got mine from this lot

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BOSCH-AERO-RETRO-FLAT-Wiper-Blades-VOLVO-S80-V70-MK2_W0QQitemZ270438517364QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Car sParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3ef7644a74&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

and the service and the blades were both excellent. I subsequently got some for my wifes 206 and they were also perfect.

Thoroughly recommended

A mate of mine advised me to get Valeos rather than Bosch... quite surprised to find that I paid around a tenner more than that! :err:

I say give then a pop, just don't expect the difference to be night and day! I personally don't think there is much performance benefit worth shouting about, they just look a bit nicer! Being lower profile they do increase visibility a bit though.

The only problems I have had with mine on the 940 are that when parked the tip of the nearside wiper is off the edge of the screen because of the curve of the glass, though this causes no other problems at all. And when parked the nearside blade looks a bit squiffy, like the spline on the arm needs to move half a tooth towards the bodywork - one tooth makes it bang against the scuttle panel! Ive found some arms that do sit right, but now they judder d'oh!

I wouldn't waste my money on anything but Bosch wiper blades to be honest. I bought a set of Valeos once that lasted about 6 months and juddered horribly. They weren't cheap either!

For what it's worth, my V70 had aero blades fitted when I first got it. At motorway speeds (well maybe a little over), they used to get the wind under them and flap around a hell of alot! So I went back to the old, traditional style of wiper.. Problem solved.
Having said that, if you are going to do it, buy the best you can afford and Bosch wouldn't be a bad choice IMO.

I paid about £27 for mine recently, so that price seems good.
I find they work much better than standard spoiler blades. They are silent in operation and don't lift at speed.

the aluminium casting part of the arm deforms in the hot and cold over time this is very common not just on volvos.
changing the blades wont make much difference. you need to remove your wiper from the car and place the casting between two pieces of wood and CAREFULLY press them together you wont need to press too hard or far to get the movement you need ive done mine twice in five years

My car came with Bosch aero blades already fitted, have to say they're the best wipers I've ever had
