As above (and it's a reference to the engine oil dipstick, not myself for being so stupid to break it!)

To try and get a better angle to replace the pin on the turbo wastegate arm, I lay on top of the engine and snapped the orange plastic top off the stick itself.

Anybody got one - I'll pay for it? Not checked what the local Volvo stealer will want as yet....

Cheers

Will a dipstick and tube from a 1998 V40 2.0 do the job?!

Found that on fleabay for a tenner...

I can't see Volvo charging an arm and a leg for it.
Although I might be proved wrong!

Not only might it not fit, but the "min" "max" marks will probably be different.

Cheers!

That's why I'm asking the question!! "Might" and "probably" are two words that I want to remove from the equation!!!

Just for a laugh, I'll ask them how much they want for one tomorrow - it's to fit a 2000 w reg T4 S40.

The plastic top of my (V70) dipstick partially crumbled with age/heat, but I borrowed some industrial super glue from one of my contracts. Cleaned it all up and glued it back together! Its been fine ever since.

I would have done that too, but unfortunately when I went to get the two pieces to glue back together, that was when I realised that the orange plastic top, had done a burton, somewhere down the road... Hence the new one. New one tomorrow!!
