New Differential Unit - 1967 P1800 S

I took my car in for some work and apparently a clonking in the rear right is due to the diff getting worn - has anyone experienced the same? Does anyone know exactly what I might need to buy to get this replaced, how much it might cost, where I could find one and someone reputable who could do the work in London.

Before you spend a lot of money on an axle , could I have a listen first , because a bad diff is unlikely to give a noise on one side only . Tony Barrett 0208 741-7500/3300 In west London .
