Gears getting noisy

Usually I have the rear tyres moved to the front and new on the back.
All rebalanced.

Now told Tyreland two to the front!

These Mich. 8 ply high profile van tyres were just the job. Hard though. (used for many many years)

But the balancing and alighment was not so good.

Starts jumping around 68mph.

I think I will give up with Tyreland and get balanced and tracked elsewere. Though may be just this branch.

Remember Jack Cluer the Technical Director.

The cables through the rear hinges are a pain.

His solution was to pull through the damaged portion and soldier an extention below.


So many damaged cables now after 25 years.

I will be following his advice and pulling through and adding bits below.

I have soldered many gray,black,yellow and blue wires to bullet connections.

This is really hard work. All done for the offside.
Now all I have to do is to pull through the built in slack, cut off the damaged portion, soldier new bullets, and connect!!

Not easy, I think for the nearside, just wire to wire,soldered and shrinkrapped!

I have discovered a soldering iron that is usually low at 35W but up to 350w boost. It does work really well.

    As for the gear box.

    Age, rubber connections, centre bearing, universals, rear axle.
